A Portable Sterilising Case designed specifically for spectacles - to house, clean and protect glasses, using UV-C light to break down DNA/RNA in bacteria and viruses to ensure high levels of sanitisation.

irradiation
Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) uses light at a short wavelength of 253.7nm, to kill micro-organisms. It is effective in destroying the nucleic acids in these organisms so that their DNA/RNA is disrupted, causing them to split and preventing them from reproducing.
Due to UV-c rays being damaging to eyes and skin, one of the components I will be designing is a closing mechanism that will be housed discretely to only enables the UV-c rays to be activated and powered up when closed.
